Music is more than just art. Music is the outcome of human possibility. Meaningful music demonstrates depth of personal thought, reflective insight and heart-wrenching soul searching seriousness.
History has proven that musicians who capture the world are willing to reveal their pain, personal struggles as well as amazing stories of life, hope and love. Real music challenges the world to look deeper into life issues and accept a consciousness that challenges the inconceivable and will not accept the status quo.
Alex Evans is that artist!
A native of St. Louis Missouri, Alex Evans credits his earliest childhood experiences playing alongside his brothers, sister and father in the family’s group, “ The Evans Gospel Singers”. It was this foundation that set his dreams in motion. From the group’s first recording, at age 8, Alex was holding down the Bass and background vocals demonstrating an aptitude and talent for the bass well beyond his years. As the group toured the St. Louis circuit young Alex began to garner much attention. In little time, the calls to perform with various Gospel groups and Choirs started to flow in. By the age of 15 Alex was in demand for his savory bass grooves and soulful expression. His future was cast.
As Alex grew and evolved into the artist he is today, he now pushes boundaries in art, culture and in life. As a visionary, he seeks to communicate a message of hope, grace and community to the masses. His blessed musical gifts and wonderful personality have opened doors to play alongside the best in the industry.
