There is evidence of the transmission of  the Zika virus at one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations, Miami Beach, Florida.  This opens a new front against the mosquito-borne virus, according to Florida health officials.

“If investigations reveal additional areas of likely active transmission, the department will announce a defined area of concern,” said Mara Gambin (Florida Health Dept) in a statement.
